Manifesto

Sure, Loudfarm is about shows. But that’s not really the whole story. Corny as it sounds, Loudfarm is WHY we love shows. It’s about WHY we all get up, trek across town, and then desperately search for a ride home after a show. We seek out live music because it’s an experience. And we know that some musical acts out there will blow you away – period.

As a team, we work to bring you all the information. After researching all the shows, we find the absolute best stuff, and we let you know all about it. We offer editorial reviews and feature upcoming events on our site. On top of that, we provide a list of all the shows for any given night, as well as mp3s, videos, photos, and user comments (so you can see whether it’s the right show for you), all in the name of good shows and good times.

Why Loudfarm? The inspiration came from a simple realization: It’s hard to find credible show information online. Maybe you don’t know what the band sounds like (or if they’re any good live). And there’s a chance you just want more information than some 3-word explanation from a bar’s website. In all likelihood, you felt, like we did, that there’s a lack of reasonable show information. So, that’s why we created Loudarm. Now, Loudfarm is your one-stop shop for all things live music in the Bay Area.

At its core, Loudfarm is all about personal choices. If you check out a band on our website (and you think they stink), that’s great – you’re making your own judgment. Just the same, if you discover a new act, go see them live – and you love them, buy their album and get past the bouncers to start dancing on their stage – that’s what we’re all about. We’re inviting you into our community. But this is a special kind of community – one that’s independent, fiercely individualistic, and truly passionate about music. We’re here to give you all the information we can provide. And we’re all about supporting the artists. But, most of all, here’s why we’re doing this: So, you can go out, have a great time, and find a band that might just make your week.
