Jon Philpot from Bear in heaven on the mic!
Loud Farm: You just released your 3rd full length album "I love you, its cool" sometime this month. I heard you streamed the album pitched down to the extreme lasting 2,700 hours. How did you guys come up with that idea?
Jon Philpot: We wanted to release a double record. One regular record and one ambient record. But, we ran out of time and money. This idea was the next best idea. In many ways it was a better idea.
LF: What was a memorable moment while recording "I love you, It's cool"?
JP: The first time we ate the Spicy Cumin Lamb noodle soup at Xi'an's Famous Foods was pretty incredible.
LF: You guys collaborated with Lindstrom, how did that happen?
JP: Adam Heathcott, of Hometapes, was in London and he gave Lindstrom a copy of our record Beast Rest Forth Mouth. Lindstrom mentioned that he liked the record on twitter so we contacted him and asked him if he wanted to do a remix. They asked if we wanted to trade a remix for a cover. Glad we did it, it's a really fun song to play.
