In another attempt to fill the void left in the hearts of the Haight-Ashbury sidewalk residents by Jerry's death come Sleepy Sun, a psychedelic jam band that sticks to their roots. For those of us who would rather get a punch in the face than listen to another newgrass or jamgrass band, Sleepy Sun bring more of a blend of fuzz-rock, folk, and psyche. This shit is dripping with 1969 -all shimmer shammery. Its like, you know... they are totally like this musical metaphysical being, MAN! And time is like this pool of water... then like Sleepy Sun like emerges from this mountain pond that holds all time and space and like all the years start running down her bosom. Far out.
