Loud Farm

Year-round summer vibes rain down, caught on dripping analog arpeggios. Windsurf, a San Francisco duo made up of Daniel Judd (of Sorcerer) and Sam Grawe (of Hatchback) have the sound of the synthesized past -- think Giorgio Moroder, Jean-Michael Jarre, and Vangelis.  Or, better yet, don't -- the one thing those European pioneers lacked (with the possible exception of Giorgio, bless his disco'd heart), was a love of the beat.  You'll find that and more with Windsurf, who seek to combine that familiar, spacious sound that bloomed from the seeds of synthesized music's earliest possibilities, with a uniquely Californian charm.  This is not a basement filled with floor-to-ceiling noise-making computers, there are guitars in this mix.  Instead of trapping their thoughts in circuitry, Windsurf daydreams of the beach.
