For many, marching bands may bring back awkward memories: Budding musicians struggle to imagine a way out of awkward high school hell, only to find themselves marched out on to a field in strict formation so that peers can mock them from a better vantage point: the anonymity of high school sporting bleachers. Part of me wonders if the Extra Action Marching Band is a manifestation of all the pent up sexuality, frustration, and energy these poor pubescent kids must all have felt before discovering life beyond adolescence. "What if", they might have wondered, "we all just threw our clothes off, ran around like rabid bandits, dry humped each other until our groins chaffed, and played the gnarliest Souza you've EVER HEARD?". Yes, Extra Action is pretty sleazy, a little risque, but I dare you not to get into it when they take the stage. There are lots of them, they mean business, and they've got energy to spare -- after all, they've been waiting years and years to share it with you.
