In the Classical Music world, it is not often often that one gets to hear a composer perform his own works. Who would pass up an opportunity to see Beethoven perform his piano sonatas? Even living composers rarely give public performances. Philip Glass is, along with Terry Riley and Steve Reich, one of the founders of minimalist music and widely considered to be the most influential composer of the 20th century. Glass will perform some of his own compositions in the gorgeous Davis Symphony Hall.
