Since joining forces with scene-making aficionados DFA, Jona Bechtolt's YACHT project has taken a turn for the disco.  Though always rooted deep in pop and dance music, YACHT's latest album, See Mystery Lights, is far more connected to the bouncing bass lines and electronic flourishes of contemporary disco-pop groups like Cut Copy, Glass Candy, and LCD Soundsystem.  Jona, and new YACHT recruit, Claire Evans, still bring their own twist to the genre, offering a lighthearted and even playful vibe to the oft-serious disco style, which shines through both on record and in their energetic live performances.
